29 Oct 3 Tips To Sanity In The Insane World Of Being a Momtrepreneur
Being a working mom is not always easy. There are house tasks, kid tasks, and work tasks that all need to get done in a day. I wanted to share with you some tips on becoming a “momtrepreneur” without running yourself ragged.
Tip #1:
Ask yourself how do you rejuvenate? It’s vital that you fill up your well and replenish yourself in healthy ways. The most common complaint I hear is that there just isn’t enough hours in a day. My suggestion is to just start with a 20 minute increment of time that’s dedicated to yourself. You could go outside and walk for 20 minutes, or take a nice bath or just sit down by yourself. Another suggestion is to schedule in just one exercise class per week that you would enjoy. This will build your “me” muscle so that you can then know when the opportunities arise for you to take some rejuvenation time for yourself. It will get easier and become a habit you will create before you know it!
Tip #2:
Who do you surround yourself with? Take stock of who you spend most of your time with. It’s been noted that your success greatly depends on who you are spending most of your time with. In other words, you are only as successful as the most successful person you hang out with. Who lifts you up? Who supports you to be the best version of yourself? Who inspires you? These are the people you want to hang out with more. You may not be able to control who you work with (or negative family members) all the time. However, there are a lot of choices you do have.
Lastly, Tip #3:
TIME BLOCK. Being a “momtrepreneur” is no joke. It requires discipline and organization. It’s so easy to look at that pile of laundry or the dog that needs to be walked instead of writing that email or making that phone call. Time blocking is where you write down the tasks in your business you need to do each day and then create a set schedule of those activities. This will give you focus and direction so you aren’t aimlessly working on things that aren’t relevant to your business.
I hope this helps serves you well. Please let me know if you would like more support:).
